I have been looking but can't find anything on this. I am a very overweight male, age 54. About 5 months ago I found a hard mass under my skin (maybe muscle layer) just below my rib cage and a few inches above my belly button. It started about the size of a large walnut when I discovered it and has grown to about 3 inches in diameter. Sometimes it feels harder than other times. There is no pain associated with it, but it is warm to the touch and sometime the skin itches. I know I need a doctor to check it out, but no insurance right now and wonder what it could be. I've read a couple of things that it may relate to my weight and may be a collection of fatty tissue or an enlarges liver. I'm very concerned and wonder if I should be really worried about it and find a way to see a doctor.
