I'm 20yrs old, have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome & haven't been on any birth control for a year now. I'm in a stable, long term relationship.

My last period was 8wks ago. I started getting breast pain around 6wks later & feeling constantly hungry & tired. I wondered if I was pregnant (as we'd had sex a few days before my period) so did a pregnancy test. It was negative. I tested again twice in 2wks just to be sure - all negative.

I was sat on the sofa yesterday & suddenly started cramping around my lower back, then lower abdomen so I rushed to the toilet & I started to bleed. It wasn't too heavy but the pain worsened in my stomach, I ended up taking ibuprofen + codeine (pain killers) & couldn't move - I felt nauseous with the pain. Within 3hrs the bleeding had become heavier, I went to the toilet & on 3 occasions large clots appeared in the toilet after urinating. Today it's heaver, the blood is thick & gloopy & there are still some smaller clots.

My periods are irregular but I usually have warning signs when it's about to start. I know I tested negative, but I'm concerned this was a miscarriage. Has anyone heard of this or experienced it??
