don't worry! this same thing happened to me and scared me to death..but everything turned out okay.
i got my period sept. 28 and had sex on oct. 13. that would have been the week i was ovulating, which makes it even scarier! sorry for tmi, but he came inside of me, and i took the plan b pill less than 24 hours later. (i think it was 21 - we weren't taking any chances!)
anyway...about 4 days after i took plan b (oct. 17), i had some light, brownish discharge, which i now know was the shedding of the lining of my uterus, so that the egg couldn't attact itself.
so i waited for october 28th (my cycle is usually 30 to 31 days), and NO PERIOD. another week went by, and still no period. two weeks later, i finally got my period, on october 13th.
i know the label on the plan b box says to take a pregnancy test if you haven't gotten your period one week after taking the pills. that's why i was so worried! and then two weeks went by...and i was a mess!
i couldn't find anything or anyone on the internet who took plan b and had to wait that long to get their period which made me think i was for sure pregnant. (my cycle has always been normal and my period has never been late.)
if you take plan b as directed and at least 72 hours after you had the initial sex... WAIT IT OUT. your period is most likely on its way! no matter what the internet says, each girl is different and no two cycles are exactly the same. the hormones in plan b definitely mess up your cycle - you may get your period way early, or it may be way late, like mine was.
freaking out about it will only worsen the situation, as stress can cause your period to be delayed.
BE PATIENT! :-)
as a side note, after taking this pill, i experienced the worst cramps i have ever had, and my boobs were so sore i could barely put a bra on. and these side effects lasted a whole month or more! so each girl is different and plan b will effect each person in a different way.
and remember....even if plan b does not work for you, your little miracle will soon be on its way and you will be more blessed than you could ever imagine. :-P

I'm in a similar situation, and I've spent hours being stressed and researching on the internet about this. All I can say is that it is very unlikely for you to get pregnant from pre-cum. While entirely possible, its not likely because you have to be ovulating and pre-cum contains a very small amount of sperm (i'm told). My advice is get a pregnancy tests, and wait it out until your next period comes. I know its hard to be patient when your so stressed, but unless one of those little tests comes back positive, there's nothing to worry about. good luck! =/

....and I'm 10 days late. Condom broke Nov 16, I took Plan B Nov 17. My last period started Nov 4 and I always have a regular 28 day cycle - you could almost set your watch by it.
I never bled or spotted at all. Nada.
It's now Dec 12. According to my regular cycle, I'm 10 days late.
I was pregnant years ago (abortion) and when my period was a few days late I had a heavier discharge. I'm having that discharge again now.
Pregnancy test a week ago was negative, but now I'm thinking that was just too early. Am I freaking out over nothing?
What's really worrying me is that the doctor said I should've bled some after taking the pill, but I have not.

When my period was late coming after Plan B, I read over lots of these forums. Here is what ended up happening for those seeking information! Note that I'm not a medical professional so what happened to me might not happen for everyone.
My period started Day 1, and I normally have a 30 day cycle. I had sex and the condom broke on the morning of Day 8. I took Plan B the afternoon of Day 8, and the website says it's 95% effective if taken in the first 24 hours. The pharmacist said that my period should come when it normally does (Day 31), but also if I don't get my period within 3 weeks (Day 29), to take a pregnancy test. She told me that I might get spotting after about a week. I got spotting on Days 15 and 16. Then Day 29 came and went, then Day 31 came and went, so I started freaking out. I told myself that if I didn't get my period within the week, that I would take a test. I didn't get my period until Day 38, which was right on time if you counted "Day 1" to be the day I took Plan B. There was a lot of scary days for my partner and I, but it all worked out. I hope it does for the rest of you too!!

People, don't worry. Everything is fine even if you have the pregnancy syndromes and no period after Plan B. My gf took 2 plan B's in 1 month, and this month i was soooo worried i couldn't sleep knights in a row. She said she has the pregnancy syndromes, and i told her to go for the pregnancy test. She had bleeding in less than a week since she took Plan B, lasted like 2-3 days. She went to the doctor and when the doc went after the pregnancy test, she got her period. It might be delayed by a couple of days of even up to 2 weeks. Don't be scared, i know what's it like. If you took the test and it said NEGATIVE, then you 100% cool, because, the tests become efficient 6-8 days after ovulation. So don't worry, chill, and just wait for the period to come.

I'm going through the same thing.
I had unprotected sex on January 17th (like an id**t), took the Plan B pill the next day and got my period in february right on schedule. However, as of right now, I am 6 days late, but pregnancy tests have been negative.
I haven't had sex since that night, so if I am somehow pregnant at least I know who's it is.
I have a scheduled pap smear next week and am worried. What if my doctor tells me I'm pregnant? I'm only 18, and in college, I can't afford a baby. Me and the would-be father aren't exactly on the best terms, I live in another state until May.
Needless to say I'm really stressed out and if my period doesn't come tomorrow I'm taking another test just to be a little more sure.

Just to add. My wife took Plan B about 2 months ago. She got her regular period right after which was heavier and longer than usual. Now she is late. About a week and a half. She is freaking. Have done a lot of research and have found out that this is so called normal with taking Plan B. Although the Plan B website does not state this in there side effects. It seems to be the typical story of about 99.9% of women. I would still recommend making an appointment and seeing a doc just to be sure everything is ok though.

THANK GOD FOR THIS SITE!!!
I had a messy drunken night on May 10 (which was the last day of my period) and I was not on birth control because I hadn't had sex before. From what I remember, I didn't have total intercourse but I was scared that I may have passed out and actually had sex. Anyway, I took plan B to be certain 8 hours later. I don't completely remember if i experienced bleeding or not, but everything seemed normal. To top it off, I started taking birth control on June 7, not waiting for my period. It is now June 10 and it hasn't come yet. Could the Plan B still be affecting it? Would the birth control make that worse?!!?

Ladies and gents...this is all normal. First and foremost, it is perfectly safe to take both pills at the same time- even more effective. The reason is you won't forget that second pill and it will start building the mucus to block sperm right away. The Plan B will make your period come sooner and last longer, if in two weeks you don't get a period, that is normal. Because it brings a period on, it also changes your cycle, as most birth control does. The more stress you add, the longer you'll wait for your period. The best thing all can to do is get on a cheaper, more effective, regular birth control pill that regulates your cycle and protects you even better. If you take the right pill (trial and error folks) and take it faithfully you will regulate your period and have no worries, plus it will be cheaper and more effective then running out for those plan b's! Good luck!

Everyone on this site should be proud of themselves for taking action and being so mature about the ooops! that can happen in life. Most likely none of you are pregnant having taken plan b within the time frame that you should have. I have to tell the men on here how incredibly impressed I am by their concern for their gf and themselves. It is refreshing as a nurse to see men who are proactive, not afraid to ask questions and take the time to find out the answer! Kudos to you all!!!!! Plan b is a hormone pill and will therefore mess up your cycle for a couple of months. It is ALWAYS better to use TWO forms of bc at all times-condom and spermicidal insert, foam, sponge, etc just for these kind of occasions. Girls, you know your little voice inside and need to just be honest and listen to it-if you even THINK you MIGHT have sex that night then just put in an insert or the sponge to be on the safe side. Does hurt anything at all and if you do not use it no problem. But if you need it, it is already there! Better safe than sorry and condoms do break, not all men read how to properly use a condom, and we all sometimes throw caution to the wind even though we know better.

Help please,
My gf has a somewhat irregular cycle and her last period was June 21-26, we had unprotected stupid drunken sex on June 27, and were unable to get her the plan B until June 29. She said that a few days or a week after the plan B pill she had the bleeding that many of you are reporting also. We had protected (spermicidal condom) sex once or twice more this month. It is now 40 days since her last period started and we are both freaking out a little bit- She says she has no symptoms of her period coming (she normally knows a few days in advance when it is coming) and she has no symptoms of pregnancy either...
I know the best thing to do would go buy an at home test but quite frankly we are both too scared to do that yet.
Any advice/help/stories will be greatly appreciated...

Last month a condom broke on me and my gf. We got a plan B and her period came a little early. Now (a month later) She is experiencing fatigue, nausea, hunger, and cramping (she rarely experiences bad cramping) Also her period is a little late. Could this be from the plan B messing with her cycle? Were very concerned because we have had a lot of sex within the last month.
