on february 21st i was messing around with my boyfriend, although we did not have sex, he ejaculated and theres a chance it came into contact with my vagina. i tend to worry a lot, so i went to the pharmacy on the 23rd February and took plan b. 5 days later i got my period, about 5 days earlier than usual. i was very relieved but it only lasted about 4 days, when it usually lasts about 6. im now about a week late and am very very worried. only 16 and at school, extremely stressed :/ took a pregnancy test and its negative but have cramping in my tummy, heavy legs and lower back pain. any ideas? 8-| %-)

I had intercourse with my boyfriend jan.15, the condom broke and took the plan b an hour after. Started having spotting and bleeding on the 26th for 7 days. Got my period on March 1st for 5 days and till now I haven't got my period (April 7th). Is it normal to have missed/irregular period after having a regular period the month before? Does the plan b still affect my menstration cycle?

flaming0duckie- thank you so much for that post! It sounds EXACTLY like my situation (as do the rest...) which gives me A LOT of hope.

It's been about 2.5 weeks since that brown discharge for me and I'm now 5 days late for my regularly scheduled programming. I took a pregnancy test today and it came back negative. I'm planning on taking another on Monday if I haven't started by then (since they recommend the first pee of the day, testing more than once just in case, etc.). All of these posts and today's test has calmed me down significantly.

My problem is with my boyfriend. He's FREAKING out. He has been by my side throughout this whole ordeal, has gone to the doctor with me, done hours of research with me, but he can't quite calm down. How did you all calm down your significant others or others who knew? Nothing I say or do seems to do anything. (He was there when I took the test and saw the negative himself, but he has his doubts)

So my ex and I had sex the day after my period ended and the condom broke, so I went and got plan b within 12 hours of unprotected sex. About a week later, I got my period again, this time it was really heavy brown blood for the first two days or so, then it switched to red blood, again heavy with clots and what not. this was around may 10. since then I have not got my period, but I am feeling crampy and like period should be here for about a week. I am just nervous and only about a day late but not sure if this is normal or not

Ok, hope this helps. I've taken plan b on three different occasions, for the sake of being very careful when I needed backup birth control. The last time I used it, last year, February, I had a cpl days of bleeding and spotting after that. Per my doctor, that was the new first day of my menstrual cycle even though I had one 2 weeks before. Here's the fact..they tell you not to have unprotected sex after the pill because it ups your hormone levels and sure enough, we got pregnant. We were trying but i had cold feet in February. Needless to say, the pill will prevent pregnancy if you aren't already pregnant but will start your ovulation cycle all over. As fir the first 2 times I used it, yes, my periods were irregular for a cpl of months.

Hi,

Is condom a reliable barrier if it did not break even if the guy cum inside and I am fertile at the time probably. Period 19 Feb contact 01 March. Average of 30 day or so cycle.

Other factors are there is no pre cum as the genitals were in contact thru a condom the entire time.

Plus used ECP 12 hours after intercourse.

And also, is age a factor? I am 36 now.

Having said all of the above - what else can go wrong?

Have read a comment from someone in yahoo that condom did not break and yet she is now 9 months pregnant.

Thanks so much in advance

Hello there,

I took Plan B (one-step) 12 hours after unprotected rape on February 8, 2012. My period came normally (thank goodness) starting February 13 and lasted a normal length until February 18. I am now waiting for my period and it has not come. (37 days after my last period ended) For me this is one week late. I just took a pregnancy test and it was negative. Stress and anxiety following rape and incessantly thinking I am pregnant is probably what is causing it to be late.

I would say that worrying enough about it to ask random people is probably enough to cause a delayed period due to stress. In addition, Plan B hormones are known to irregulate cycles, and could also be a contributor in my case.

Will keep you posted.

Well I dont know if this will help anyone but I will tell my experience with Plan B and maybe someone else has a similiar story. I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend on the weds,30th of may around 10pm and protected sex with a condom on the saturday the 26th. I dont recommend you have sex much less unprotected sex until your able to take responsibility for your actions. I dont want a baby but I was caught up in the moment and silly so I can be a little careless at times. I've had unprotected sex with two guys in my whole lifetime(alot of pregnancy scares with the first. again really not ok, but I'm not perfect). Anyways, when my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex, he came in me. I knew it was alot of semen that came out because when i sat up a lot kept spilling out and when I had spoken to him about this whole topic after everything happened he said ever since he came in me and I left he's been feeling really tired and drained(some cultures believe in that, I do too, but i'm not sure what he meant, but he said he knew I was with his child)so for sure I was pregnant. My boyfriend lives in another country so when I came back home the next day I was worried but I was still in my dazed fairytale moment where it wouldnt matter if I was pregnant by him because we loved each other. However, I knew and I know now that a baby is not what I need at this moment in my life. The next day, which was a friday a friend and I went and bought the ECP, I took the first pill around 4pm and the second at 4am. In total, 72 hours had not passed and wouldnt until the following sat. I was supposed to get my period around the same day we had sex but it never came. after taking the ECP I experienced backache(is that a word) and my nipples were always hard..ALWAYS. I only felt cramping and bloating like it was about to come. My period eventually came 2 weeks late. How I know it was my period? well it was heavy, I had cramping and bloating and it lasted the usual time my regular period lasted. On the plan b website it says that you will know that your not pregnant if your period comes really heavy as opposed to really light. 4 and 1/2 weeks later I haven't seen my period for this month. I had light bleeding, dark brown discharge, but no actual period. Once again, like around the time I was supposed to get my first period(before the sex) I experienced the same thing but my period never came. so now I'm just waiting... it is very agonizing but I know stress is not good for the body. I haven't taken not one pregnancy test yet just because I want to wait it out a little to see if my period comes.. but if it doesnt come by the end of this month then I'll take one. ECP puts a lot of stuff into your body to prevent your eggs from being fertile, so what people don't understand is that when this happens your cycle and hormones get screwed up as well. but, in my case, I put myself in this situation so now I have to pay the reapings.

Me and my gf had sex in June, and the condom broke but I had not ejaculated in her. For good measure though, we took plan b hours later (a generic version). About a week later, she got her period. But now in August, hasnt gotten it since. She's taken 4 tests and they're all negative. Any opinions
Would be great thanks.

If she gets her first period after taking ECP she is not pregnant. Tell her to not stress about it. The hormones that are put into your body from the pill messes with your regular cycle so she will be late. Its been almost a month since my last post and I am just now getting my period. For the first two wees before I got my period my breasts were really tender and sensitive but now that's went away. I took three pregnancy test and they were all negative. The best thing to do is make an appointment with your doctor and see what is going on, but I guarantee your not pregnant.

Shut the f**k up. You have no right to comment on what she does with her body. I don't know where you got this information, but from what I've learned you can't overdose on Plan B...
Maybe you should refrain from posting if you're just going to be a condescending b***h.
