Thank you for reading my post and please comment if you have experienced or have knowledge of anything of this sort and let me know your resolution.

I had a vasectomy on January 14, 2012 or about 6 weeks ago.  According to the doctor things went well with no complications.  I had a lot of pain during the surgery and the next week of recovery was very painful although I did not lift or do anything physical.  It was bad, a feeling like I had racked myself pretty good and was waiting for the pain to go away.  After the first week it did get some better, and I wore a supporter for about 3 weeks.  I should have been 100% and was not.  I contacted the doctor and he thought that there may be an infection and he prescribed a steroid for the swelling and an anti biotic for the potential infection.   This helped but as of now I am still no where near 100%.  I am in constant discomfort and there seems to be little that helps.  It is just still very sensitive down there, and it never was before especially on the right testy.  Its like a really bad bruise, the slightest bump it about puts me through the roof.  Now, I will say its progressively getting better, like for the first month I absolutely could not run, which I love to do.  Now I am able, but I hurts some.  One other thing, sex does not seem to help or hurt the situation.  The pain is relatively the same after which is to say it does vary.

At this point the doctor, who is in the loop on all of this, says that it will just take time to heal and that he believes that during the surgery he possibly hit a nerve and that's the root cause.    I am super worried about this because of reading about some who have experience major issues that never go away.  Am I justifiably worried or will this pass?  I just would like to see if anyone else has experienced this and did it go away?  Nerve damage?  Is that valid?

I appreciate your responses.  Thanks
