Yes because if you're sexually active and you don't want to get pregnant you use the pills as prescribed. Even if you miss one day it throws off the cycle you were on and that is like having a wall that hashas a hole in it, things can get through it. You say you been off for weeks that protection is gone. The only way you can get that protection back is to start to taking the pills again. But if you're not sexually active then you don't have to worry about it. Unless the pills make you sick then you need to talk to your doctor about other alternatives. Hope this helps.
