I've been on birth control for about two years. In august, my physician switched my dosage from monthly packs of pills to taking them continuously for three months. In January I began to have some spotting the last week before my period. This spotting continued a week after my period and has continued up to today. My next period is supposed to be next week. I called my physician about this andshe told me that this could be a way that my body is adjusting to the new dosage. However, I'm curious if this means that I could be pregnant. Sometimes my birth control is the only contraception that my boyfriend and I have available, so imconcernedthat this spotting is more than just a reaction to the new dosage of pills. Should I get a home pregnancy test just to make sure?
