The age at which the foreskin can easily retract behind the head of the penis)differs from person to person. And it can take until the age of 17, or even older, for some men's foreskin to retract. If your foreskin is tight you could try easing it back when you are in the bath using soap. Make sure you do this slowly and gently. This may gradually stretch the foreskin until it can pass back over the rim of the head. It is very important not to try and rush the process. Make sure you do not feel pain. Pain indicates you are causing damage to the foreskin. Be patient! It may take months for you to get your foreskin stretched enough to move on and off the head easily. There's also a condition called Phimosis. It's a condition where, in men, the male foreskin cannot be fully retracted from the head of the penis. Circumcision is sometimes performed for pathological phimosis, and is effective, but I don't think you'll need it. Take care.

This sensation, it's not a pain but more from the feeling of the head being exposed.
Yes, it is normal. It will lessen eventually as you expose the head of your penis. Your glans has been protected for 20 years, the nerves are not used to being exposed to a different environment.
As April described, keep working your foreskin by stretching the skin. You can use your fingers, maybe some lube if needed, and gently pull it open to stretch the skin. You do not need to cause yourself any serious discomfort. Do this as often as possible and you'll notice results soon. Masturbation can also stretch the foreskin.

Some good advice as always from dan and april. I would avoid using soap as a lubricant for stretching the foreskin though as it could cause irritation.
Always questions on how 'effective' a circumcision would be, but probably best that we don't turn this thread into a circ debate.
