I need a new treatment for my Crohn's disease, because my standard therapy not seems to be working any more. I heard that there are Remicade and Centocor infusions. Which one I should use? I wanted to check it this way first, before I talk to my doctor. Has anyone tried Remicade or Centocor already? What were the effects?

I had been receiving Remicade infusions for my Crohn's disease when I had a stroke. The Remicade after effects were always rough for me ie:
flu like symptoms, painful joints. The stroke occured after my 3rd infusion I hope you have better luck than I did.

Hi Likea37,

Did you have any warning signs before you had your stroke? I too am on remicade and had my 3rd infusion last week and have since had severe vertigo and just a sense of not feeling all that well, blurred vision, a bit of confusion but mostly vertigo.

I am beginning to get a bit worried about the whole thing.

My daughter is on remicade. She is due to have another treatment next week. She also was vaccinated with the cervical cancer vaccine. Will the remicade cause any effects on the vaccine? Such as canceling it out?
