I quit about 5 days ago and the itching is bad i did have stomach pain at first didnt sleep in 4 days finally i got on 5-htp 100mg all natural i finally got some sleep and woke up feeling pretty good i still itch but thats a given i guess

I'm exactly like you. Very conscious about my bipolar disorder. Had mania which was triggered by insomnia. Countless hospital admissions, Drs, caseworkers and medicine. Stayed on seroquel for 4 years until last month I tried to od for the second time on it. I've been wanting to come off it for a year now but my dr didn't approve. Once I left the local hospital after my od I decided to stay off of it for good. Switched back to a combo of depakote and resperidal for two weeks until realizing that sh*t won't do me the way seroquel did. So I stopped that too. So far so good. Proud to say that I sleep well enough and no racing thoughts.... My point is that it's doable. Sometimes the side effects are not worth it. You just have to know yourself very well and this time, for me, it was the right time to stop treatment. Now to deal with the insomnia on my own instead of relying on sleeping medicine.

I'm just doing a detox now off them now, I was on 450ml and I've dropped 50ml a week. I didn't really feel anything till I got to 75ml and then it's started, no sleep, really agitated and my legs won't keep still. I've had to slow it down to 25 every other week. The anxiety is unbearable I can hardly breath when I wake up. I no it will get better but how long

I too seem to be enslaved by Seroquel. The withdrawal from it surprised me greatly. I'm currently on 200 mg. Seroquel XR per day it's recommended that I take the entire dose near bed time. If I get near 'the 24 hour mark' and still hadn't taken my dose, I get really super sweaty and have hot & cold flashes.
One evening I skipped my dose totally and by 8 A.M. the next morning my whole body ached, I was tremulous & sweaty and had those hot & cold flashes. So I ran to the pill bottle and took some. My god this stuff is as bad as heroin. I'd only been taking it for 2 months.

Hi... I have had cataracts in both eyes and had both eyes operated on here in the UK. My psychiatrist etc just dont believe nor accept its the quetiapine. I was in my early 40's no family history. Have you got anywhere with your legal battle?

hi folks just to share my horrendous Seroquel experience of today. I have been taking between 100-150mg each night for eight months to help sleep. am also on zopiclone. I tapered stupidly quickly over 10 days and was doing ok until day 4 of having none. omg. it was like bam today.. total melt down ... unreal feelings hysteria with massive anxiety and agitation. literally wall climbing. crying desperate. I am terrified. I took 10mg to alleviate and felt even worse. just taken another 15mg before bed. I pray I get some sleep tonight as I am frightened to death of another day like today. will this go away? I am so scared I will stay in this state. like torture. I feel stupid for ever starting this stuff.

SEROQUEL IS POISON. DO NOT TAKE THIS DRUG!!!! My 16 year old daughter is weaning off 200 mg for sleep issues due to PTSD. It should not even be prescribed for this, let alone a 16 year old kid. She is complaining of headaches on and off, but there is no way I will let her stay on this c**p. She was sleeping all the time on this and her personality was totally flat. I am starting to see signs of the "real" her and hoping for the best as this poison leaves her body.

This medication is c**p. All these doctors do is hand this stuff out like candy and expect people to be magically healed. My brother has been on this c**p for 20 years and it is just now coming to light because doctors can't do their jobs and monitor this trash like they should. My brother was eight years old when he was put on this and now 20 years later people are scratching theirs heads at his health problems which ALL revert back to this disgusting medication. My hope is that if anyone has concerns to please find the right help to get off this stuff. Be safe and God bless
