I have been off work for a couple of weeks because they reckon I am overworked and mildly depressed. Now, the doctor told me to use dosulepin, which is a tricyclic antidepressant. But I am very worried about my health and my environment and I want to know what dosulepin can do to you in terms of side effects.

When you first start taking dosulepin, you can be a bit drowsy and your blood pressure can drop. If you have problems with hypotension then you should probably ask for another antidepressant. When taking dosulepin, you should not consume alcohol either. Lastly, it is very important that you never quit the use of dosulepin off your own accord, as that can be dangerous. I would not personally take a serious medication like dosulepin for mild depression.
