I am going to start nortriptyline and it is my second go at antidepressants. I really hope that it will work out for me this time and that it will work. I am really scared about the side effects of nortriptyline as well, and I am not sure what to expect with nortriptyline. Can anyone give me any idea what I am in for?

Hi. I am sorry you are feeling that way! A dry mouth, being drowsy and feeling fatigued are the most common side effects of nortriptyline, and they last around a month after starting nortriptyline. Excessive sweating, heart palpitations and trembling are also on the list. I think there are worse side effects than that and that you can relax!
