Hello. I'm 22 year old female and these last couple of months have been terrible for me and I can't see no exit from all this. First, about six months ago I broke up with my boyfriend and I was shattered next couple of months.
Then, just the other day, my mother has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Can you believe it? I'm crying almost all the time and decided to take some antidepressants.
A friend has recommended me some Effexor but, before I take it, I would like to hear more about possible side effects! Can someone tell me more about it?

Hi. I'm very sorry to hear all this. I know it is terrible to hear that your mother has this terrible disease. I'm not so sorry about your big brake up. You are still young and just entered this love life and you shouldn’t worry about it.
I also have nothing against antidepressants- they should be used if right indications are present.
You are right, almost all antidepressants have many side effects and you should know what to expect.
The most common side effects are nausea, headaches, sleepiness, dry mouth, dizziness, insomnia, constipation, raised blood pressure, fatigue, sweating, decreased appetite and female sexual dysfunction.
