While having sex with my girlfriend (without a condom due to having the injection) my banjo string/frenulum breve snapped/broke, went through the bleeding and waited a week to heal before trying to have sex again.
My problem is after healing i can pull the foreskin back without any pain but while entering my penis during sex i feel pain not very sharp but stinging pain which isn't a good feeling to be honest, it has been about a 2 weeks after waiting to heal from this is still going on.
From examining my penis i can see that the banjo string/frenulum breve has healed to form the link but just above their is a small lump, it doesnt look out of place as in it is a different colour but maybe where my banjo string/frenulum breve once was connected and that is where the small pain is coming from and i was wondering if any has any help into resolving this, i have used lube and it doesnt change (That i know of) the pain, can anyone relate or help me with a solution?

It can take a while for a snapped banjo string (frenulum) to heal. When they do heal, it is scar tissue that replaces the original tissue and it doesn't stretch, so it will be tight.

You may need to see your urologist if it continues. They can "loosen" up the frenulum so that it won't snap again.

Give it some time. Let it heal completely.

Thank you for the feedback, i really appreciate it.
From reading what you have said, i have given 3 weeks maybe longer now and it can tell its healed from closely monitoring my progress, it doesn't seem to be the frenulum that is the problem it seem to be a small lump above, (it is the same colour as my penis) it maybe of been where my frenulum once was attached but during sex it seems to be a small pain that is irritating now.
Sorry if this is overkill of my question im just concerened

Mine tore several times right after I got married. I kept the ends apart so they couldn't heal back together and there is no scar tissue where it healed. It now looks like there never was a frenulum there and it feels like it too. There is no pulling in that area and I can pull my foreskin all the way back to where the tip is at the base and my whole shaft is covered with inner foreskin.

I'm not sure what the lump might be.  You didn't notice it before?

If it continues to be painful then see your doctor.  Hopefully they can explain it.

Good luck.

Hi njoynlife,
I am having same problem. Just wondering how you kept the ends apart? And when you do so was there any pain?

It was a loooong time ago, nearly 50 years, but I think I just used toilet paper. A small piece of it over the open tear, then rolled the foreskin back up over it.

has your small lump healed? I have done the exact same thing to my frenulum from having unprotected sex swell, and I have the small lump too. Please get back to me if you can.

I have frenulum breve. Is there any stretches I can do to help? Or do I definitely have to have surgery?

Hi!

If you have experienced a snapped banjo string or frenulum breve and it is not healing well and causing a lot of pain, it is important to seek medical attention as soon as possible. This type of injury can be quite painful and can cause complications if not treated properly.

Here are some steps you can take:

  1. Stop any sexual activity immediately to avoid further injury or pain.

  2. Apply a cold compress or ice pack wrapped in a towel to the affected area to reduce swelling and pain.

  3. Avoid touching or manipulating the area to prevent further injury.

  4. Make an appointment with a urologist, who can evaluate the injury and recommend appropriate treatment. Depending on the severity of the injury, treatment may include pain management, antibiotics to prevent infection, or surgical repair.

  5. If you are experiencing severe pain, you may need to take over-the-counter pain medications, such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen, as directed by your doctor.

It's important to prioritize your health and seek medical attention if you are experiencing pain or discomfort. Ignoring the injury or delaying treatment can lead to more serious complications.

Question for the latest poster. When did this happen to you?
