I am having a problem. I have been on birth control for about a year and a half. Everything has always been normal. My periods have all been normal and on time for the past 13 years. My husband and I had unprotected sex two weeks ago. We had sex the last day of my active pill and I had my period. A week ago I started my active pills again but Wednesday I started spotting. Thinking I was going to have my period I stopped. I usually have my period exactly 3 days after I stop the active pills but I have had no period and the spotting just keeps happening! I have a headache, feel sick and very weird sort of painful cramping in abdomen. NEVER had this happen before, ever. I am very worried. I don't have insurance so I can't see a doctor until June. I have had this spotting 5 days now! I heard about implantation bleeding but I took two pregnancy tests and both were negative. I took them 5 days apart. I don't know what this is, help! If it makes a difference, my spotting is mostly brown and light, every once in awhile it will be blood, but I have it everyday. It won't stop.

As you might know, when you stop taking birth control pills for any period of time, you can have a lot of irregularity with your period. If pregnancy is a possibility, could your pregnancy test be too early? A home test might require more time. However, if you are pregnant there are some considerations: Miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy (which is life threatening). Although you don't have insurance, you must get these things checked. Perhaps there is a county hospital that you can go to or a clinic, but you've got to go. Because this is so abnormal for you.....There should be a concern for medical care. Let me know...

The same things happening to me. I had my period last month and I haven't had any changes in my birth control, except I missed my last two active pills and took them a couple days later. But my period was late a week and than it never came, instead I got weird brown spotting that looks like old blood coming out, and it's been doing it for about a week now and wont stop. I can't be pregnant, I've had my period since the last time I've had sex. I don't know why this is happening and I'm only 18.
