Hi, my friend is 36 years old and he is having problem with discopathy caused by injury on basketball game. He was in bed almost whole month after that and when he visited his neurologist he prescribed him steroid injections which will be administrated epidural. I have heard that steroid injections may cause blindness so I would like to know if it is true?

Hi, my father also got epidural steroid injections and everything was fine. His doctor also didn't mention possibility that these injections may cause blindness. Only way it may happen is when there are administrated heavy doses of corticosteroids which may cause embolism of artery which supplies optic nerve with blood.
