Well, 30 years and no kids later I've decided I should stop taking the pill. I'm 46 yrs old and even though I'm not in menopause my chances of pregnancy have really dropped (oh, and if I have a baby right now his name will have to be "Jesus" :-))
What can I expect for side effects - it would seem a real jolt to my body after all these years. How long should it take for my period to even out again? Are there going to (hopefully) be good side effects as well? I'm really nervous about this decision but figure at some point I'll have to stop. My BP has been high lately so it seems a good idea. I also have multiple sclerosis and am always afraid of anything that might upset my "balance" but I think the negatives at this age outweigh the postives for continuing.
Thanks for your thoughts!
