is it safe to be taking birth control pills on a higher dosage as a substitute for an emergency contraceptive?
has anyone done this before? what are the side effects?

no thats not safe thats why the prescribe you a certain amount at a time. they make plan b. and if you are 17 or older you can get plan b from the pharmacy, no prescription needed.

they give different contraceptiev pills and the dosage required to be taken in order to make it a morning after pill

does tht make sense?

i read it. i didnt see anything about different dosage. ill read again...usually if you accidentally slip up you can just go to the pharmacy and ask for Plan B. they will know what you are talking about. Ive never heard of using extra birth control, ive always been told to just ask for Plan B. its 99.9% affective, it basically kills any sperm that may have accidentally gotten inside of you.

i see. i think when they state "birth control pills" they are not talking about the kind we are prescribed to take everyday of the month so that we cant get pregnant. their word choice was not a good choice. all those brands are basically off brands of Plan B. every brand of medication has its own generic/off brand. most are taken in 2 doses about 12hrs apart.

their forum is a bit out there. ive never heard of taking extra of sesonique or ortho tri cyclin for a substitute to Plan B. to be safe I would just take Plan B.
