I missed one pill but took it within forty eight hours as said by my doctor and continued taking the rest of the pills as normal at the same time. Two days after the missed pill I began bleeding, which my doctor also said was normal and would probably continue for a few days. It is now nine days later and I am still bleeding. It is not like spotting, it is closer to an actual menstrual bleeding but it has been going on for a long time and now I am worried. What should I do??

This is normal, when you first start to take the pill, you will bleed randomly, for about the first 2-3 months. It won't start being effective until then either. All you can do is tough it out. If it continues for longer than 3 months go to your ob/gyn and see if you can switch pills. Some pills don't work for some people, I have switched 3 times, and what you're experiencing I did too, just buy a lot of pads and tampons! Hopefully it stops!
