Hi everyone. I have been reading other peoples usage and views on taking Tramadol while pregnant.

My  daughter is 7 weeks pregnant with her 3rd baby and for the past 2 wks has been in agony with backache which she was admitted to hosp for. The 'professionals' gave her morphine for 3 days which obviously helped but decided not to take anymore for the baby's sake.

Once home again the pain got worse to the stage where she cant function at all. with 2 toddlers 16mths and 3 1/2 yrs this situation is unacceptable!!

Her dr gave her Diazepam!!!! with instructions that it could cause cleft pallette in the baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obviously she decided not to take the Diazepam.

As she has never took Tramadol before and hopefully might only need it short term so wont become addicted (hopefully) I feel could be a suitable solution?????

Any thoughts and advice would be much appreciated xx

Tramadol is like dope. If she haven't never took it i wouldn't suggest that maybe naproxen or codine tramadol never been tested on pregnant mothers it makes u don't want to eat. You stated hoping it will only be short lived but she will be affected with withdrawals once she start taking them on  a regular and try to stop please don't let it be tramadol.

I have been trying to get pregnant for a while now but have no luck and have been taking Tramadol for more than a year. I want to know if Tramadol can stop you from getting pregnant?
