i'm a 21 year old guy and I have sebaceous prominence on my penis, which pretty much covers my whole penis with little flesh-colored spots. Most of em are not quite big, but there are big ones too.. They are clearly visible in light and do not look really pretty. I also have fordyce granules on my forskin. They are also clearly visible in light. I never had sex, I am scared as hell that girls notice these little bastards. I noticed these 2 things on the age of 12/13. I never really worried about them since I knew I never had sex (and therefore couldn't have a std). Later, when I was at the age of 17/18 I got stuck up with these things on my penis. It made me despressive and I always stressed when talking to girls. This whole thing got so bad, I started to hyperventilate. The stress dominated my life and I felt so bad. This begun at the age of 19. A year ago, at the age of 20(!) I finally had the guts to visit the doctor about my problem and of course, as I were already suspecting, he told me they were normal as hell, etc. Etc. Etc. After my visit to the doctor, which was a small relief, I visited a psychologyst because I had serious problems (feeling dizzy whole day, hyperventilation, really fast heartbeats etc.). This helped me a bit, I started to see things from a realistic point of view again.


But i'm still scared as hell. And I want to have sex. I am a handsome and intelligent guy, I almost literally have several really pretty and sweet girls waiting for me to have sex, but I don't want them to see this health question on my penis. Yeah, the doctor told me to turn off the light, etc. But girls can still feel em. Especially when having oral sex of course. I never dared to just do it and see if they protest, but I can already tell you they will. Anyway, I can't just live with this stress because it's not healthy. My heart is like a ticking timebomb..

I first noticed bumps on my penis LONG before i had had sex or any contact with a petrolium product on my penis. I noticed what i was about 8. I told my mother about it and i saw a doctor about it. When u say "normal anatomical variant" is a contradiction thats also wrong. I have the same thing and when I was about 16 I took Accutane to cure acne that I had and the only thing i noticed was that it would severly dry your entire body out but not to the point of anyone noticing. Accutane worked very well for my acne, but i did not notice anything different about my penis.

It is not the cause of petro based lubricants, it is not because of masturbation. this occurs naturally through puberty. when you go through puberty, the oils in your skin become active, which is what is causing the pores to clog and swell. you all probably don't have it as bad as me, i have it on my lips, as****e, and penis. you cannot notice the ones on my lips, and i dont care about my as****e. the ones on my penis keep coming, it started off with one with then multiplied, i'm certain that in 2 years my entire penis will be covered. you dont have it that bad. will this stop me from having sex? never. will it stop me from hooking up with a random s*** at a party? yes, i dont want everyone knowing about this. but if you find a girl that loves you, do you really think she'll care whats on your penis? i doubt it. my girlfriend recently preformed oral on me, and after i told her what they were, i was so worried that she'd dump me because of this so i kept asking her if it was ok, and she said something that changed my whole persepctive on things. she said "i love you for you, not your penis." remember fellas, respectful girls care about the qualities you have, not the ones that your penis has. word of advice: dont hook up with slutty girls.

I had the same experience too. I started to used John**n baby oil to masturbate and after a few months I got a sebaceous lump on the shaft of my penis. I got it surgically removed by a surgeon(small procedure). And the doctor said that its occurrence is random. But I do suspect that it does have something to do with petroleum lube.

I have SP aswell. It's easy to try and put it to the back of my mind but every once in a long while one of them get infected.

It's probably due to friction or something, they've went away before through using an antiseptic.

Just to clarify, should one of these glands become inflamed or infected... Does anyone know the best method of calming down the infection?

Okay Ive known I had SP For some time now 2 - 3 years. Talked to my parents about it, my dad has it too. Hes more uncomfortable about talking about it than I am. I too am a little leery about having intercourse as a result of Sp. Not that I'm not going to. That would be ridiculous. My confusion stems from the fact that obviously many guys are plagued by this irritation, there is no way that every doctor in the world is free of this problem so.... Why are so few people aware of it. And why is no cure being advertised on tv for it. Money could be made for the person who creates or finds a cure. This is no different than acne on the face or anyone where else. One thing however that has been definitively been suggested is they are shiny between the scrotum and lower end of the penis. They are not contageous AT ALL. Although they are extremely repulsive and evidently impossible to get rid of as far as we can tell at the moment. All we can do for now is accept them. they are a reality, and should not influence us at all. Try your hardest not to think about them that helps. Dont do drugs, dont drink alcohol I have a suspicion that intoxicants may have a role to play in the production of SP. Just a theory. One thing is for sure they will not go away in time they will not get any better for now. All we can do is wait for someone to stumble upon a cure if one even exists. Eat healthy keep them clean. Look,I am 18 almost 19, i have had these for about 4-5 years now, they have actualy have an advantage too, these little annoying white bumbs (sebaceous prominence) actualy will give a girl more pleasure during sex, like a ribbed condom or the texturized ones, these give your penis a bumpy texture and girls will become intense alot quicker,99% of girls dont even notice them.

There is said to be no way of curing them, but there are ways of shrinking them to make them less noticable, use drugs and creams that you would normally use for acne/spots on your face, use talc powder as it drys up moisture (as SP is basically swolen sebaceous glands that produce too much oily substance around the hair folicles which keeps the skin soft) talc power should help, try using clean and clear, or clearasil for spots, i have tried squeezing them, sometimes they do pop and the sub-solid liquid comes out, but you cant get it all out, eventually that 1 will go away, but more will come, so my suggestion is 'DO NOT PERFORM SELF SURGERY' as this could lead to infection etc...

Hey everyone I am 18 I found the cure but its not easy, it hurts, requires lots of time and effort.

I had a terrible case of these so I removed them. The only way to get rid of them is not easy and I will explain how to do so.

My penis is now very scared but when errected it becomes very smooth and looks almost normal.

There a 5 main steps to removal but before I explain I would like people to understand its not recommend because it leaves your penis severly scared, In order for best results of removal I will explain.

Step 1. Depending on amount of them you would like removed, will requirer more stuff to assist removal, I removed all of them it so I had to buy around 200 bandages, Scar removal cream, Polysporin aka vitamin E.

Step 2. Before doing this you need to understand IT frikkin HURTS, and you will not be able to have sex during the removals you will need to wait around a year.

Step 3. Inspection-Before removing make sure you do not remove ones that are not worth scaring, I only removed the ones that were extremely bumpy and were annoying. They way I rated removal was by lifting the underside of my penis so it was visible to my eyes then I made my penis erected (This is important)* I thightend the skin by pulling on the front ends during erection so I pushed the bumps out word while the skin was tightend to exposed the ones that were larger and more ridged.

Step 4- you will need toe nail clippers,toilet paper and a cloth to wipe blood and clean the area. It is important to understand during removal you want to make sure that you create the least amount of scaring as possible so make sure you do it rite I will explain how in a second.
You will scar your penis and it will looked very ugly unerected but when errected it will be very smooth and look normal if removed rite.

At first you will think it was a big mistake and it looks really bad but when it fully heals and scar cream is applied it will almost fully heal. I recommend Practice on a few of them on your balls just so you understand how to remove well, and if you f**k up its no big deal on your balls because it will heal back to normal faster.

Step 5-Removal when removing there are a few things that need to be done inorder to get good results. Inspection is KEY* you must play around and feel the bumps in order to understand where they are and where to start removal. You must pull the skin away so its not resting on your shaft and is pulled thinned so its like holding some paper, this way you will be able to check the bumps out.


There are 3 kinds of these bumps, the attached kind and the dome sealed kind, and the easy outs,

Understanding removal, pull your shafts skin out and make sure your finger is under the bump on the other side of the skin pushing it up exposing the bump, now feel the bump if it feels really really hard and you can wiggle it this is probably ATTACHED KIND*.

If it looks really white and you can see almost like you can see through the skin its probably a EASY OUT KIND*

Dome sealed* are usually the kind that look similar to the easy out but are under the skins deeper layer, the good news is they are easier to remove then attached kind and come out similar to easy out so they kind of fall in between.

if you have lots of these bump remove a few at a time like 2 or 3 let them heal then repeat.


Attached kind-These are the most pain full remove and require more time between removal.

Dome sealed- These are kinda easy require almost he same time as attached almost maybe a few days less.

Easy outs- These are usually on your balls but you will find some on the shaft some times, these are the easiest to remove.

Removing- Be extra careful*

Clean ups after removeal*
after all removals clean the area until blood flow stops then pull upward on your fore skin or shaft until the small hole forms close together. Now apply Vitamine E or polysporin make sure theres almost no blood while you apply. and carefully place bandage on so when healed its smoothed the same shape as the shaft so there is no scared bump.


Attached Kind* pull the shafts skin up place your finder under the bump pushing it up and tighten the skin so its spread out exposing the bump to a more surface level. feel the bump if it feels large take your time.

Now take your toe nail clippers make sure they are not to big get a smaller set, carefully prick the bump so theres a very very small opening you should now pull on the skin lightly to expose it more from this point keep pricking the bump if it surfaces and comes out kind of like a pimple then your done if not and its more solid then you will need to clip it away until its slowly clipped from its root* note this will hurt but do not worry you will be fine in the end. Apply the clean up above.

the other 2 follow same proceadure but are more easy and require no clipping at some times just prick and push until its out and removed

Dome kind* When you know theres a bump and you do a prick on it to exposed it but you see almost a white like layer over the bump when the skin has already been opened this means you need to keep pricking the white layer until the content of the white layer surfaces and comes out, some times it mite just come rite out and requires no clipping like a easy out some times under the layer you will expose a attached type.

I will not be coming back on this forum but please be careful and use the info carefully. remember its not recommend I chose to do so and it worked great now my penis is smooth during erection and is now some what scared it will heal expect for the very first removal i did and i screwed up because I did not do a small test run on my balls and I left a bad scar so if you f**k up and leave a bad scar just get skin graphs on your penis like I plan to get soon and it will look as if it never happend and you were born with no bumps :-) good luck and be careful*!

i was wondering if it affects military qualifications. i know you get a physical and drug tested. would SP be a disqualifier?
