Sebaceous prominence is normal and something that all men have to a greater or lesser degree. There is no treatment and you should leave them alone. You should visit the clinic if you have discharge from the end of your penis or experience pain passing urine.
If you notice new spots and lump developing, or sore areas on you penis also visit a clinic. You can’t make Sebaceous Prominence disappear.
Hope this helps. Good Luck!!!!

Having done a decent amount of research, one method that actually seems to be working for me...is...3, 4 times daily, I guess, the more often the better...take a HOT, HOT compress (toilet paper, a thin washcloth, and smother the area (with the intent of allowing the glands to drain back into the body) shrug, it seems to be making things better for me..hopefully its not coincidental.

Hey dudes
I've had SP for about 2 years now and it's been hacking away at my self-esteem the entire time because it looks like c**p and the girls I know are reacting very negatively to it (thinking it is some dissease). So the last year I've been working on finding home remedies to treat (or possibly even cure) sebaceous prominence. First attempt: Neutrogena Clean Pore (an oil eliminating astrigent). After applying this to the SP for a month, almost nothing changed. It really just irritated me as the Neutrogena liquid just dripped off and was quite a waste of time. Second attempt: various Clean & Clear anti-acne creams such as "Persa-Gel 10 Maximum Strength" which (despite the astoundingly high price tag) did nothing besides leave a flaky dried paste on my junk whch I then spent 10 minutes picking off. Third attempt: This one was the jackpot for me. "Gold Bond Body Powder" did it for me. After just 1 or 2 weeks the sebaceous prominence began to dry out and decrease in size greatly and I've been using it now for like 2 months. It's working great. It's talcum powder and it absorbs skin oils. The powder then (i think) gets inside the sebaceous pores and dries them out.
Hope this works for you,
SomeGuy

Hi someguy and others with SP,
I have read that powders work well on some other forums as well. I have a few questions though - 1) Where do you buy "Gold Bond Body Powder" or other absorbing powders? 2) Did you only need to apply it once a day for your results? 3) I have read some things suggesting that talcum powder is related to lung cancer. Although there isn't enough evidence for it to be widely recognized as a cause of cancer or be banned in products, it worries me. After all, I would be using it at least once daily possibly for the rest of my life if it is successful - and it sounds as though it very well may be :).
Also, as a warning to all others frustrated with SP: don't go crazy experimenting with things like self-surgery or heavy duty acne treatments. Some of the things I have read on other forums are straight up vile. Self-surgery leaves scarring, high chances of infection, swelling, and the sebum will come back after a week or two, leaving you worse off than before. Gels and creams meant for acne often cause irritation and can give you some serious rashes. These acne treatments are meant for your face. The skin on your penis is much too sensitive and almost always just gets irritated in one way or another.
Please reply as soon as possible! - I desperately want to reduce my SP before college starts!

Hi,
This is an old post but I couldn’t help but notice that the comments I read focus on explaining what causes it and how it can be treated. While I know I never used lubes or put oils on my genitals (unless naturally from puberty) before I got sebaceous prominence. As far as I am aware there is no way to remove them.
I am a 21 year old and I have had sebaceous prominence on my penis for as long as I can remember - probably googling it the first time almost ten years ago.
I have had multiple sexual partners (about 8) and only one has ever mentioned it to me. Most of these girls saw my penis in full light at some time or another and none of them ever had a problem with it.
The only girl who has ever given me the tiniest impression that she had a problem with it is my current girlfriend of over three years. She was considerate of my feelings and was gentle when she asked but I think she just wanted to know it wasn’t caused by an STI, which I think she knew really that it wasn’t. She didn’t have a problem with the look of my penis and she gives me blowjobs on a regular basis (it doesn’t bother her either).
No girl has ever suggested to me that they can feel the bumps with either their mouth or vagina.
My point is - relax. If you are the OP or any other person who stumbles upon this article because you have sebaceous prominence. I guarantee you 99% of girls won’t notice. Of the ones that do, I reckon 9/10 won’t care enough to even mention it. And if the girl does have a problem with it, then what’s the worst that could happen?
She could say something that makes you feel like sh*t - then what kind of girl is she to get involved with.
More likely she’ll be nice and mature about it and she might ask you but as long as she knows is not a result of poor hygiene or a contagious infection, then she probably won’t mind.
