How is sebaceous prominence treated?

Hello. I have experienced the same problem like you now and I will tell you what my dermatologist told about all this. He told me that not only that this is completely normal but that almost every man suffers from it in greater or lesser degree.
It is simple variant of normal human anatomy. So, we agreed that no treatment for this is necessary. They all should be similar I size. If one of them points out and starting to grow- it means that you will probably develop one another condition called sebaceous cyst! It can occur if bacteria attacks skin or if the glandular duct get blocked.
Then, antibiotic treatment or even surgical excision could be needed.
Contact your dermatologist again and let him see it again.

i developed sebaceous prominences as well. They pretty much cover the entire shaft of my penis and are skin colored, but very noticeable. I've had them for about a year now. Just when I started getting used to them and more confident with meeting girls it seems I started developing a row of tiny sebacious cysts on the rim of my penis which knocked me right back down to turning down very attractive girls who approach me because I'm too embarassed. These things are rediculous and the fact that there is NOTHING that can be done to prevent or diminish them is extremely disheartening. I have heard and read the word "normal" way too many times and I don't buy it. I've tried several topical creams however it seems there just isn't anything that could be considered a cure, which is surprising. I even tried changing my diet...nothing. If anyone has any tips...getting rid of these would change my life, as for right now, they are ruining it.

These are the best things that you can do.
1 keep the area clean and dry
2 Do warm compression wraps (When you are in the shower get a wash cloth and run it under hot water and wrap it around you penis multiple times)

i had sebaceous prominence for about 2 and a half years and hated them although only recently getting rid of them for my own self esteem as the thing is us guys worry what girls will think, im in a relationship which is approaching the 1 year mark and my girlfriend had no problem with them as i explained to her what they were and she understood they were perfectly natural, you have to understand if a girls going to judge you for something natural then there just not the girl for you, what im trying to say is be proud of yourself and all of you as most girls wont care aslong as you explain.
but back to the cream i used it in the morning before college and at night before i went to sleep i noticed a change after about 2/3 days and carried on using it till i finished the container, so overall about 4 weeks, although most were clear within 2 i felt necessary to continue to make sure and now all i do is try keep a balanced diet aswell as washing all of my genitals in warm water twice a day.
