Hi.
If you are in a process of rehabilitation, I would advise to take it easy.
Water aerobics is a perfect option if you ask me to get slowly in shape, and if you want to target specifically abdominal area. Swimming is of course also great for anyone having spinal, knee etc. problems.
You should also talk to your doctor about performing corrective exercises for disc prolapse.
Here are 3 great exercises you should be able to perform safely:
Supine Alternate Hip Hinge
Bosu Bridges
Prone Stability Ball Back Extension.
I would again advise to talk to your doctor about your rehabilitation process.
