I had a miscarriage about two months ago. i also got the depo shot about a month ago. they told me that i could have a normal period or that my period would go away. This past week i got my first period after the depo shot. It was mostly brown blood or old blood for about a week (my normal period usually only last five days.) But then it started to become red. i was slightly worried but it wasn't real heavy so i just used tampons. I had to do this for about five days and then this morning after i took the tampon out there was this really weird like pice of skin. it was thick and big. about the size of a silver dollar. i unfolded it and it came out to be a triangle shape with a round hole in the middle. I am litteraly freaking out! It is even a little thicker than a quarter thickness wise. i put that in a wet paper towel just in case i have to show my doctor. Then There was another piece in between my inner and outer lips. This piece was longer, about two inches long but the same kind of substance. It looked like skin, kinda white with some blood spots on it. WHAT COULD THIS BE?????????

HI! I doubt this is an actual piece of skin. This is just a blood clotting. Every women get this, but clot size sometimes can indicate something more serious. Hormonal changes can cause you an excessive clotting during period, when these hormones get out of balance, the wall of the uterus can become very thick. Endometriosis is another possibility, since this is one of the symptoms. You should see your gynecologist to see if there's something that should be treated or if it's just depo side effect.
