This morning while I was taking a shower I noticed that my vagina was itching (in the inner part where the clitoris & labia minora are located). So I scratched it several times while bathing not really thinking anything of it. But once I was done bathing I started to feel a pain in my vagina. And when I looked down I saw bloody red looking scratches on my vagina, but I thought that since my period was going off that maybe that was some of the blood from it. So I wiped across it with some tissue and no blood was on it, but the red scratches were still there. After that I was still feeling the pain so I put some vaseline on the scratches. It wasn't so painful after that, but I still felt the pain while I was walking today. But it stops after I sit for a while. PLEASE HELP ME ASAP!!! I REALLY NEED TO KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON WITH MY BODY!

Yes, I'm sexually active and has had more than one partner, but I don't think this could be a sexual transmitted disease.

I also shave and its possible that I could've been itching because of the pubic hair growing back.

But I'm not sure what's really going on so that's why I need someone else's opinion on what could be the problem. (PLEASE)!!!!

PLEASE LIST ANY MEDICINE THAT CAN BE USED FOR THIS, INFECTION IT COULD BE, OR ANY DISEASE (IF YOU THINK IT COULD BE ONE)!

THANKS FOR READING THIS POST AND PLEASE LEAVE YOUR OPINION ON WHAT THIS COULD BE EVEN IF YOU THINK ITS USELESS (ALL ANSWERS ARE NEEDED)!

thanks again!

I think you probably did it with your fingernails when you scratched the itch in the shower. When your wet, it's easy to scratch yourself and leave abrasions that you don't notice are as bad as they are until you dry off.

Try some hydrocortisone cream. It's wonderful for things like that but don't get it inside your vagina. Your vagina is the hole, the outside where your lips and clit are is your vulva. So you can smear it all over that part, just don't push any inside. Don't worry if some gets in there, just don't shove it inside on purpose.

I don't think vaseline is the best stuff for scratches. I know mother always used it for everything, but that's just my opinion. Mother used to put butter on burns too and that's probably about the worst thing you can do for a burn. Our bodies are amazing, they get better anyway. o.O
