Hello, I am 23 years old and I am allergic to sulfites. This means that I cannot eat all I want but then again, I got used to this kind of life, so I can say that I am ok. But a friend told me that sulfites are not found only in food, but also in some medications. What drugs should I avoid if I’m allergic to sulfite?

Your friend is right. You should be cautious about the medications too. Although, you are still very young and with a healthy way of living, you should be far from using medications, but still be careful. Avoid Septra, Bactrim, Pediazole and all sulfa antibiotics. You can also ask at the pharmacy store about the complete list of the meds that contain unwanted substances.
