Hi, I am a mother of two kids, age 3 and 5. They did not have any major health issues so far, and I hope it will stay like that. Still, runny nose, colds, flu, these all happen from time to time and I can see that they could be a lot better with the use of decongestant. So, which decongestant can be taken by small children?

Well, I think that decongestants should be avoided by small children. I mean there are some other alternatives that could also help with the mentioned conditions, such as aspirin, ibuprofen etc. I think that decongestants are simply too powerful and they might bring more harm than good to your kids. Still, you can always consult their doctor about this.
