Who was Jack the Ripper?

I just know the basics...a serial killer of prostitutes.

I once started going out with this guy and he never wanted me over at his place and so I was convinced it was because he had a girlfriend living there.

Nope...it was filthy and he was OBSESSED with Jack the Ripper. I extracted myself from that situation as soon as I could.

There are several theories on "who" Jack the Ripper was. There was a recent show on the History channel about this. It expounded some theories such as he was Queen Victoria's Grandson, or an American because of one letter's salutation "Dear Boss". Boss at the time being a more American phrase.

None of these theories seem to work out. There are several suspects but no definite ones have actually been proven.

Lizzie Borden is another strange one and though she was aquitted no one will ever really know. You can stay at the house in Fall River, MA; its now a B&B.

Patricia Cornwell spent millions (?) researching who Jack was and she came up with the artist Walter Stricher. I read the book, and thought she made a convincing argument. Then again, I'm a huge Cornwell fan, and an id**t when it comes to science. Some people think she's dead on, others think she's nuts.

One thing for sure, Jack was a sick, sick puppy. (but a darn good serial killer)
