Ditto! You are right on point. I wish all the doctors that dealt psych drugs had to be guinea pigs and dose themselves first. Western Medicine is a rackett!

My chest feels strangely tight, when ever I do eat its very small meal then about 20 minutes later I must go to the bathroom with stomach pain and diarrhea.... will contact Doctor soon as possible because his advice its not working obviously!!!

thank you for taking your time to write about zoloft. I too am trying to get off this grabbing drug. Drugs are not for me but in a state of high anxiety over the sudden loss of my husband, the doctor put me on this drug. After 3 days of injesting I went into a complete haze and stopped taking it. I quickly found out the drug would not release me and had to continue use. I reduced to halfdose but not dealing well with that either. I realize it takes time to get detoxed and I am going to suffer my way out. I drink filtered water and add pink salt which hcontains minerals to produce electrolytes. I am determined to go back to all natural herbs, take vitamins, exercise (walking, yoga and ti chi). Don't know how long it's going to take. I pray to my higher power for help and it seems to be working, Don't give up or give in. Most Drs. know one way, DRUGS. NOT ME, I PUT MYSELF IN GOD's hands and I am not religious. I am spirital. God be with all of us trapped by drugs. Good luck to you and may God bless you in your endeavers. Sincerely, Rita

I completely agree with you! I live in Utah. We rank highest for most prescribed antidepressants in the world. I could name probably 20 people that I'm close to that are on some sort of SSRI. It is so common here. 3 weeks ago I took my very last dose of Zoloft!!!! I was on 150 mg last year and cut down very very slowl. I have been on antidepressants since I was 10 years old and I am 23! Paxil, Prozac, Xanax, Zoloft your name it, I took it. I was so over it. There is no way that I would have been able to get off of this horrible drug without exercising and taking essential oils every single day. Also, NATURAL multi vitamins. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. you have any questions please please email me. I know how hard it is and how stressful it has been. The Internet is an amazing thing when you have a huge support group, huh!! You're going to do awesome!

Just make sure you have a support system in place and take the time and effort to do what you need to to get off the drug. For example, if you aren't willing to exercise, eat right and manage your stress DON'T attempt to get off. And never do it cold turkey. I've been on Zoloft for 15 years at 200 mg. I really needed it back then. Supposedly there were no symptoms known. Now I have about every symptom there is: the rash and itching are the worst. I'm down to 150 mg and tomorrow, drop to 100. It's not fun. I found a holistic doctor who is my cheerleader and work hard to manage my attitude, stress, and health. And frankly, I pray to God a lot. I'm almost 50 now and want to be strong for my daughter and grandson! No more victim for me!

I've been on Zoloft (generic form is sertraline) for close to 15 years. I have been at a very high dose of 200 mg/day. Over the past 2 years I've weaned down to 150 mg/day and plan on weaning down to 100 mg/day. I am new to this thread and research of Zoloft side effects. I was a trusting patient who was always told it was safer to be on these anti depressants/anti-anxiety drugs than to live with the depression/anxiety that ailed me. I took this dose of Zoloft/sertraline during both of my pregnancies, again staying on them because the "educated experts" told me it was safer for my prenatal infants if my own psychotic well-being was being taken care of first and foremost. Thank God, I believe my boys (now 11 and 12) are healthy and show no side effects. Just thinking that I may have hindered them at the very beginning of their lives as infants due to the Dr's inadequate diagnosis about kills me. God willing I will be taking myself off of these man made drugs and I will find natural and stronger ways to handle these deficiencies within myself. If I can help anyone out there with my story, please don't hesitate to contact me or reply to this thread!!!

How long do the withdrawal symptoms from stopping Zoloft last when one has gone back on the Zoloft? I skipped it for 5 days accidentally, and I've been back on it for 10, but still have tremors, dizziness and fatigue.
