Well, there are other types of implants that can be used. The only common implant is the cheek implant. The check implants have very strange complications. Cheek implants can get infected. They certainly can be misplaced, but on rare occasions, somebody’s who’s had cheek implants comes back five years later with an infection, possibly caused by sinus infection or tooth infection. The implant often cannot be treated with just antibiotics, because it will not heal the presence of a foreign body. T
