This exercise is great for your hips and thighs. To perform it you will need a stretch cord. You can either tie one or buy a loop one.

Place the stretch cord around your ankles. Your feet are shoulder width apart.

Take lateral step to the left and your trail leg is going to follow. Keep tension in your hip and thigh muscles. This way you are performing this exercise the right way. Perform this exercise at least 30 seconds and take steps to both right and left side.
