So heres the whole thing...
Im 23 yrs old, Ive been on birth control for 1 1/2 yrs and boyfriend and i (planning on getting married in the near future but not engaged) have been having intercorse with out using condoms for over a year now with no issues as of yet.
2 months ago i was 7 days late and did a home pregnancy test to make sure i wasnt pregnant and it was negative and my period showed up the next day. Last month my period was then 3 days early but normal length as usual. Now this month im going on 4 days late, im seeming to get period cramps and back pain but no bleeding. I havent changed my birth control habits and never missed even on day in over 6 months and still taking them daily as my dr said.
Does anyone have any helpful advice?? is this all normal for my body to get me "back on track"??

If you have been on birth control for a year and have had the same partner and planning to marry him, he really doesn't need to wear a condom. There should be no pregnancy issue at all for you.
There are a few things that can disrupt your cycle while on bc. Skipping a pill or two can ruffle the cycle, (this does not pertain to you tho) also, if you have been sick with any vomitting or diarrea, this could make you start to bleed midway thru your pack.
If taken regularly with no illness or skipping, your period should be on track, regularly around the same time evry single month.
If you are having slight period problems, maybe you want to talk to your Doctor about possibly switching your bc. Sometimes women will try 2 or 3 different kinds before they are satisfied and can set the watch according to when their periods will come.

Thanks for your advice, i was looking back and found 3 months ago i did change my BC from orthro tri lo to just ortho tri and didnt remember it. That must be why its been slightly off, if its not getting on track in the next few months ill have to call into the drs office to see if maybe i should be changing something.
