my periods are two weeks late now. i had two periods in april the first on the 3rd and the second on 27 april. on 13 May i had unprotected sex, used the withdrawal method, then went for my first depo shot on 19 May. am now having stomach cramps though not very frequent and then passing gas soon after the cramp and slight back aches. could i be pregnant or its the depo. will consider a preg test soon but your opinion is greatly appreciated

Okay, so im only 2 days late for my period. Im 17 and im on bc. For the past 2 weeks ive been feeling different. I have spotted only it was a few days after my period last month, i know it wasnt left over blood because it wasnt dark and it only happened when i wiped. I now have a hard time falling asleep at night and a really hard time not taking a nap around 3. my boobs have gotten bigger even my boyfriend noticed and they feel heavier. I have been peeing more than normal but maybe it's all the water ive been drinking. When i wake up in the morning i have to go pee, i feel extremely bloated and while im peeing in my lower left abdomen i get a pinching feeling. i know i do not have any std's or anything like that. ive been getting nauseous all throughout the day for no reason. my hands have a strong oder, only i can smell and it bothers me off and on. i cant stand for a long time without getting dizzy and lightheaded. ive broke out and ive got pimples on my face which is normal when i start my period. lately ive been having a little bit of discharge (more than normal).

tinesu, it sounds like you are in a questionable position, and it's a little hard to tell. Just to be sure, you did not use any birth control or anything like that when you had unprotected sex? Do you have any other symptoms beyond passing gas and cramps or backaches? The cramping and aching sounds related to the depo shot so I suspect that's what it is but I am not entirely certain. If you could, please let us know the results of your pregnancy test if and when you take it so that we know!

So glad to hear that you're okay then! I'd say in the future that if you can maybe pair your birth control with condom use then you can worry even less about this sort of thing. It's just a suggestion of course. It's up to you what you plan to do ;-) Thanks for posting your good news!

I'm really glad to hear that you didn't think I was lecturing! :-) I hate to sound that way because I know everyone has their reasons. What kind of IUD were you using? I'm glad that you have your son but I know you're probably trying to be careful not to have another one without planning!!
