Is your workout becoming boring, are you lacking results, or worse, is it becoming something you don’t want to do? There’s no room for that way of thinking! If you’re like a lot of us, you can’t afford regular training sessions and have to come up with ideas on your own. According to the Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans we need 2 ½ hours of exercise per week and that’s on top of muscle strengthening activities, which you should be doing twice a week. And if you’re bored, how effective are you really in your workout? So I’ve come up with some ways to spice up your workout and get you back on track.
1. Try A Workout App
Download a few Smartphone apps that will support your goal of increased activity.
It’s easy. All you need is an exercise mat. There are more than 60 workouts, arranged by muscle group, that will help you get abs of steel. Even better, premium users get access to 3-month training plans. These training plans are adjusted to the capabilities and needs of beginners or advanced athletes. In addition, nutritionists will provide you with a weekly nutrition plan, teaching you how to eat healthier and leaner. The great thing about Apps such as these, is that you can do them wherever WiFi service is available. What’s important is to make them a part of your daily routine. Good habits will support our efforts to stay active.
2. Get Creative
Have you ever heard of something called SkyRobics. This is pretty cool. You’d actually be working out by jumping on a huge trampoline. That sounds like a lot of fun, just please, be careful. Or how about Circus classes. Imagine the workout you’ll get when you’re learning Arielle training. And let’s not forget about the latest dance craze, Zumba. These are just a few examples. If you do the searching, you will find something different and fun, and maybe even something you’ve been wanting to do for a while.
3. Change Your Scenery
Maybe you take your walk around the block. If so, check out a different environment. Are there any public parks you could go to?
And what about those charitable races? They typically last for several miles. Doing this may also allow you to connect with other people who are interested in health and fitness, which can lead to a new workout opportunity.
4. The Web
Yep, that’s right. Whether you are staying in tuned to new opportunities on SteadyHealth.com or you’re checking out fitness opportunities on my websites. There is so much to complement every area of lifestyle, health and fitness. So, make the most of it. No more boring workouts!
It’s time to get creative while at the same time have some fun! And remember, it’s all about healthy living – mentally and physically! That’s the truest way to success.
