Hi, I've been on birth control for two years now. I've always been very consistent with taking it but this month has been very hectic for me and I ended up missing three pills in a row. And they were the first weeks pills. Let me break it down for you. I got my period the first Tuesday of November and it lasted five days. After that I started my new pack of pills. The first week and I misssed three pills so I started bleeding. (This takes place about a week after my actual period) I bled and then it turned into dark dark brown discharge. It was light but still. I have been having unprotected sex and he has been ejaculating inside of me. (Sorry tmi). Do you think I could be pregnant? And if so what are my odds? I obviously can't test for a while and am curious. It's okay either way. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Hi Madi,

You're having breakthrough bleeding, from missing your birth control pills.  Basically, you induced a period.

Yes, you can GET pregnant.

Are you back on your birth control pills?  If it hasn't been 7 days of continuous pills then use backup protection.

Your cycle may be a bit "off" too.

Good luck.

Well. I've had that happen before tho and only bled two days and it stopped. It's been six days. I am getting head aches and I never get head aches. And I'm bloated. I'm also small and usually not hungry, but lately have had more of an appetite.

Wait until about 2-3 weeks after you had not taken the pills and take a home test. Use your first morning urine (wake up pee).

Good luck.

This sounds weird and I know is hard to answer. But what do you think the odds are that I am?

Can't say.

Your cycle can take a while to get back to "normal" so it could be related to that too.
