When I exhale, the air goes down into my mouth sometimes instead of out my nose. My doctor's say I have anxiety due to the passing of my grandfather but I am not so sure. I have gone to the ER as well and they said it was anxiety too. Can some one please tell me why I am having these problems and if they have had it before? And, I am also 14.

This is when my mouth is closed not open. Some of the air goes down into my mouth and forms a ball of air at the back of my throat as the tongue digests food.

My friend, it could possibly be anxiety. I've been suffering from it for over 20 years and it all stared when I was 17. Go and see a psychiatrist (one who prescribes medicine). I take Klonopin on an as needed basis and it works amazingly. At 17(i'm 38 now), I started with Xanax and although it work real fast, Klonopin lasts much longer and its not addictive. Try and get a prescription from your doctor, but only use it when you feel those breathing problems. Eventually you'll be able to control them as you get older. I take half of a .25 and i feel much better. But people are different. I suffer from shortness of breath, racing heart, out of my element feeling (like people or objects are 5 miles away from me), but Klonopin takes care of most. As your mind develops, you will learn to overcome some of those issues. I hope this helps. Good luck.
