I'm 17 years old and I've been on birthcontrol since I've been about 14 because of ovarian cysts. I've been sexually active for about 5 months.
Around November 19th I started my period, as I normally do around that time, but I was having horrible cramping and pretty huge blood clots. This happened for about 6 days straight and I finally stopped for I think a day and a half if I remember correctly. I started again after that day and a half and it's been completely horrible. I've been doubling over at random because of sharp pains on my right side (sometimes bringing tears to my eyes), been having completely terrible cramps along my lower stomach and I've been bleeding REALLY bad. I'm usually a really light bleeder, but since this has been happening I've been bleeding a lot more than usual and sometimes I have a disgusting brownish colored discharge. I've had around 3 days since this started that I actually didn't bleed, but sure enough I started AGAIN each time.
I have no idea what is happening and being on a period this long, I don't think, is normal. Especially with such pains.
I know I should probably go to the hospital, but getting an appointment with my doctor these days is one of the most annoying things ever (receptionist is rude, and puts you on hold for the longest time) so I thought maybe somebody here could help me.
