Hi, I am a 17 year old girl & I have ben experiancing now for a few months weight loss & stomach pains. At the beginning of this year (2010) I weighed 140 pounds, it's now August & my weight varies between 115 - 120 pounds.
I have done no excerise or physical activity to lose this weight. I have noticed a change in the amount of food I intake, which is sometimes very little at all (compared to what I used to intake) I get stomach pains after I eat (not keeping track of what kind of foods may trigger the pains) Sometimes are worse then others, i'v only had two times in the last 2 months where i'v cried over my stomach pains and felt like I was going to Vomit, I never did though. The pain I feel is not I guess in my stomach but down where the intestines are. Lower abdominal pains? & tends to work it's way up to my stomach. When I do eat bigger amounts or feel like I have over ate (for my stomach I do believe has shrunk sense the beginning of year) is worse, but these pains arent always after every meal but it is a lot I cant go two days without my stomach hurting atleast once. So I am just hoping to maybe get some feed back on this. I have taken Pepto Bismol for my pains when I do have it and most times it works. But I ofcourse would love to stop using it & get to the bottom of what is happening.
Past eating habbits I used to be able to eat a whole burger and fries, and now I cant even finish maybe half of a burger without
feeling fool. I have cut out most fast foods for they hurt my stomach really bad, and even subway now when I eat it gives me gas & horrible rumbling pains in my abdominal area. I dont even go back for seconds on anything now. So if you could please help it would be greatfully appruciated. Thank You So Much.

hey
i'm a 16 year old girl and have a lot of the things you do
i don't know what it is either but i have been looking at things
there's a site you can go to that explains ibs but says it shouldn't be confused with other things and gives a list of them all
if you look each of them up individually and find the symptoms, it might take a bit of time but you could find something useful
try looking up 'help for ibs' and hopefully you should get the site i'm talking about
i think ibs and gall bladder stones are the most likely causes for me
but i don't know yet either, but if i find anything out, i promise to report it here!
good luck!!

It's just a bit nerve racking for me you know because I have never had anything seriously wrong with me before.
But I know if I wait it could only get worse. So thank you so much(: & good luck for you aswell.

glad to help :-)
i'm not sure how long you've had whatever this is, but i've had it since about february this year
it's not as bad as it was within the first few months now
it's not completely gone, but it's definately much better
i don't remember doing anything different either so hopefully it will sort itself out with you too!
