hi i am 24 and i had my first depo 3months ago.i was due last week for my second injection but i didnt go.from the day i start the depo injection i have bleeding and spotting now it has changed to bleeding.i like to know how long my bleeding will last.i am really fed up with it and m sex life is very bad now:(:(please any answers......

im a female also..23 years old :)) i used to get those shots..i must admit..it sucked!! Poor girl..many cuddles..firstly i have to say best decision you will ever make is not going thru with the depo shots any longer..i can make a happy woman depressed..it truely can..the bleeding is caused by the chemical reaction between your bodily system and the shot..i would say that the bleeding between your periods (spotting) is abnormal and you should consult another gyno who specialises in gettin you on a managable program as everyone is different.. My partner and i had the same problem when i used to get the depo and the blood i lost from the depo not mixing well in my system caused me to get serverly sick and i lost alot of blood..made me feel like sh*t . Hope your ok and i would try another managmnt plan for birth control..hope you feel better soon..plenty of rest for you :))
