I’ve been diagnosed Zollinger-Elison’s syndrome. Doctor prescribed me ranitidine and I feel better now. I am interested in how it works. Can I avoid operation just using this therapy?

Ranitidine is antihistaminic. In your case, it decreases the amount of acid the stomach produces. Ranitidine also prevents ulcers in the stomach and intestines.
Just take it exactly as doctor directed.
As I know it is in the FDA pregnancy category B.
It may take up to about 8-10 weeks for your symptoms to heal. Don’t stop taking medicine without your doctor’s advice.
