Birth Control, side effects, depression, moodiness.

I was on birth control for about a month, I stopped taking it because of the side affects, depression, moodiness, ect. I took the pill in june, and stopped taking it by the end of june, early july. My boyfriend and I started dating in Sept., and I've been trying to get pregnant since then. We stopped using condoms since about october, and, being about three months and still trying, I'm worried I can't get pregnant. My friend said maybe the birth control messed me up, but maybe its still early. I havent missed a period, but the last two periods I've had have been really short. They last at least, three - four days, and usually they last about six. So, I was wonderng if the birth control I took had anything to with me not getting pregnant?. I've really been worried I can't get pregnant, I've cried so many times. My boyfriend says not to let it bother me, maybe its not the right time, but how can I not worry ya know?. Not being able to get pregnan is probably a womans worst dream ya know. So, if anything from anyone, please help me out here!
