Hi, I have a problem and I need an urgent advice. I am suffering from arthritis. I am 55 years old. I am taking Lodine as a therapy. Last few days I had problems with skipping doses. I was rather irregular in taking medicine and yesterday I have taken two doses in half an hour because I had skipped a dose. Now I am feeling sick, my stomach hurts and I have black and tarry stool. What is going on?

You are very irresponsible! You must take care of regular usage of medicines. The problem you have is in direct correlation with your irregular taking of Lodine. What you, probably, experience is overdose with Lodine. This can be very dangerous so go to the doctor at once. Overdose may lead to a coma.
