Ok im 21 and went to the obgyn for a regular pap one day and it came back not normal. i went in and had the biopsy and everything went fine...well she said i needed cryosurgery well i moved and didnt go back to see her for about 3 months and when i did finally get to go back i was bleeding for about a month stright so she could not do the cryo. she put me on birth control to stop the bleeding so she could do the procedure, but it didnt work. so 2 weeks later still bleeding i went in and she did it anyway. i had all the effects that she said i would have, the discarge, and stuff, and i did not have sex or anything for 30 days as told. when i finally did have sex 30 days later i had a lot of bleeding durring sex, but no pain. it stopped immediatly after i stopped having sex and i have not expirienced any bleeding since, but im scared that this is not normal. i dont want to keep having sex if this happens and im scared that something is wrong....i called the dr and she just said wait another couple of weeks....well that makes no sense to me what do you think? ?

I have been having the same problem. After further research, the McKinley Health Center suggests using condoms and spermicide during the next six months not to protect against pregnancy but to protect the cervix from trauma. I had no idea. Sometimes agitating the nerve endings of the cervix does cause cramping and subsequent bleeding. Probably it's just an irritated cervix, not pregnancy or cancer. Try using a barrier method in combination with your usual birth control and see if it clears.

Hi-
I had my cryo therapy procedure done a month ago. I did not have sex for a month after the procedure until recently and found that i was bleeding during the intercourse. We stopped right away, but i'm afraid to have sex again. How much longer should i wait until i'm fully healed? My doctor told me 2 weeks, but i waited over a month and still have not fully healed.

About 2 weeks ago I had cryotherapy done, my Dr. said to wait out 6 weeks until i can have intercourse again. I have a check up next week (after 3 weeks) and then again after 1 month, to get the clearing, i believe your dr's should've done the same, there's nothing more important than making sure everything is fine down there for a woman, because they do have more complicated parts than a man. And i was also told you can experience some bleeding after intercourse for up to 3 months after the procedure is done.
Hope this info helps :-)

I'm having the same problem. Had sex 3 times 5 weeks after cryotherapy, on 6th week something happened and I was bleeding all over my bf and blood dripped on the sheets. Doctor said no sex till after next period, if it continues come and see him. Has anyone experienced similar things and have the bleeding finally stop?
