I started on ortho cyclen a month ago in the second week i started my period it was extremely heavy and lasted 3 weeks my doc sent me for bloood test and all as fine he chsanged me to necon 1/35 the bleeding had stopped for 3 dayd and now heavy spotting has begun at the end of the second week of these pills. I honestly have never had a good experience on any birth control pills and do not know would it be best to just stop of mix the premarin which is estrogin with the necon once i start fully bleeding which i did then stopped in one day again

Hi, i actually had the same exact problem with birth control. My doctor said the reason why i had a very long period (lasted a month) was because the hormones were to much for my body to handle so it messed up my periods really bad. They tried putting me on a lower dose but it didnt help so i had to stop taking them. So instead of birth control i just stick with condoms and spermicide which is supposed to be just as effective. Hope i have helped. =)
