I am taking birth control (BC) pills for already 6 months. My period is still irregular. Since I started the birth control, I had spotting and I had regular (like a period) bleeding even during the time I was taking the active pills from the BC package.
My cramps are not lighter either.
I would like to hear an advice from a professional or somebody that has experienced the same.
Should I ask to change my birth control or I should stop taking it and start taking it again after my period is over?
My gynecologist doctor does not really helped me since he tells me that it is normal.
I am open for private communication too, so feel free to contact me.
Thank You in advance.

Like you know already, it’s completely normal to experience spotting in between periods and during the time you take active pills, especially during the first three months after starting birth control pill because the pill creates hormonal imbalance that your body needs to adjust itself to. In most cases that doesn’t take longer than three months and spotting doesn’t cause more than few occasional drops of blood. Main reasons for doctor to evaluate if this type of birth control is right for you are when bleeding lasts longer than three months and when the amount of blood is significant. So definitely – get the second opinion!
