Hi there,

I've been on the same pill for well over a year now (Alesse) and never had any issues. I'm usually great about taking the pill, but in Jan took it up to 12 hours late sometimes. At the same time I was using it for contraception. 

In the past week, I've been spotting quite heavily, been nauseous, had headaches, been exhausted, and had quite tender breasts. While there is a chance I could be pregnant because I'm bleeding so heavily I doubt it could be implantation bleeding. 

I've forgotten to take pills before and have spotted but never for this long or had so many additional symptoms. (i'm taking it consistently)

Does anyone know what could cause this?
