can you get pregnant if you use protection

Hi I am just curious, my husband and I just started TTC our first un protected Sex was on 1/1/17 and my last period was 12/11-12/15. My periods are irregular so normally my cycle lengths are anywhere from 32-36 days. I never know when my period is coming for sure. Well ever since my husband and I had sex a 9 days ago I have been feeling gassy, very irritable, moody, bowel changes, increased white discharge, and acne. No implanation bleeding but I didn't with my first pregnancy either. If I am pregnant I wouldn't be that far along anyways. I just didn't know if I could possibly be pregnant? I did a fertility calculator and with my Cycles being 30+ days I put it at 36 days and it said 1/1 would be the best possible day to conceive. So I could possibly be pregnant. When should I test? Period should be here by this week sometime. Thanks :)
