Agreed, they have obviously not been on a hospital bed unable to walk because of acute sciatica. I don't like taking steroids but when I had acute sciatica I would have taken just about anything to get rid of the pain!

I was trying to find out if I could take 800mg ibuprofen and methylprednisolone NOT PREDNISONE. I am just finding things on prednisone. I have a HUGE headache and have taken the ibuprofen and not the methylprednisolone yet. I am suppose to take 2 of them now, they are 8mg. Is it safe to take these now?

Also agree- have been under care of wonderful chiropractor for 3 weeks for worsening sciatica . Finally today unable to walk, got medrol dose. pack and am "better" within 5 hrs! Hate steroids but sometimes only solution.

We were advised the opposite by the pharmacist and Dr. Do NOT take steroids and ibuprofen together. It even says so right on the ibuprofen bottle.

Lots of uninformed advice here. Yes, they can be taken together. It's primarily indicated on dosage of each, and other risk factors such as smoking, alcohol consumption and many other factors. However, at typical dose pack dosages, 200mg of ibuprofen over the short term of the dose pack isn't likely to cause issues.
Of course, you should always consult your physician since they (in theory) know your full medical history.

And this, folks, is why you shouldn't come to the Internet for medical advice. Juicing cannot, physiologically, cure anything. Period. Chiropractics can alleviate symptoms, but also cannot cure anything. Also, no human is guaranteed to suffer side effects from any medication. Everyone's experience is different for a whole host of reasons.

I had a decadron shot yesterday for sinusitis attack and possible sinus infection. I was given a 3 day prednisone and antibiotics. I just woke with a headache and immediately took ibuprofen with my breakfast. I am to take prednisone this morning too so I called my doctor after getting mixed Google reviews on whether or not it was ok taking them toget her. My doctor said yes it's ok. I think short term it's ok. I wouldn't take them together longterm. Just my two scents ;)

I have been bed ridden due to the pain of massive knee, ankle and foot inflammation accompanied with severe pain. This has been a recurring process with no DX to date. I don't take narcotics to treat the pain. I eat clean, juice, ingest NO alcohol or drugs and when I can exercise. The only thing that keeps this from keeping me bedridden while whatever inflammatory process is occurring is prednisone.

Please do not use scare tactics to try to convince readers of your opinion. Unless you are a medical doctor or a pharmacist, you should not be giving such dire warnings. I’m a nurse and would never advise someone on drug interactions without doing some research or better yet referring them to consult their doctor.
