Hello, I’m a mother of 6 years old daughter. Yesterday she developed flu-like symptoms. I didn’t give her any medication. As I had only aspirin at that moment sure I didn’t give it to her because know for rey’s syndrome. What medication can be given to a child for flu?

Symetrel is effective against virus influenza type a, and can be used in children over age of one. Flumadine is used to prevent it and is also effective against influenza a. Tamiflu is effective aginst both a and b types and there is also relenza but recommended to be used in children under the age of 7.
